Colorado Mesa Sports Schedule for Weekend of November 20-23
This weekend will definitely be a busy one for Colorado Mesa University sports, and school officials are hoping that before the start of the Thanksgiving break, students will come to the games as a show of support.
Most of Colorado Mesa's athletic events are scheduled as road trips. But the biggest event for the Mavericks will take place in Grand Junction, as the NCAA South Central Regional Volleyball Tournament will take place at Brownson Arena, located at 12th Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction.
Here's a look at this weekend's CMU game schedule:
Men's soccer

Colorado Mesa's men's soccer team is in the Sweet Sixteen portion of the NCAA tournament. The Mavericks will play St. Edward's at 5:00 p.m. Thursday in Seattle, Washington, with the winner advancing to the next round to be played on Saturday.
Men's basketball

CMU's men's basketball team is traveling to Colorado Springs this weekend to compete in the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs tournament. The Mavericks will play Colorado College at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Northern New Mexico College at 5:30 p.m. Saturday
Volleyball

Colorado Mesa is hosting the NCAA South Central Regional Volleyball Tournament Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Brownson Arena, 12th Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction.
Friday's games are at 12:00 noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Colorado Mesa will play in the 7:30 p.m. game.
Saturday's games are at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday's regional championship game will take place at 3:00 p.m.
All of Colorado Mesa's games this weekend will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1230 and online at 1230espn.com.
Women's swimming

Colorado Mesa's women's swimming team will travel to Gunnison to compete against Western State Colorado on Saturday. Meet time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Wrestling

Colorado Mesa travels to Kearney, Nebraska this weekend to compete in the University of Nebraska-Kearney Holiday Inn Open. The tournament is scheduled for all day Saturday.
Cross Country

Colorado Mesa's men's and women's cross country teams are traveling to Denver for the NCAA South Central Regionals, which will take place on Saturday.
