This weekend, Colorado Mesa University’s basketball teams will begin 2015 at home with games against Colorado Christian and Colorado School of Mines.

As we finish out 2014 and officially begin 2015, several events are scheduled throughout the Grand Junction area to help make the transition into the new year. If you haven't made plans for New Year's Eve, here are some options to help celebrate the evening:

After splitting games last weekend on the road, Colorado Mesa University’s basketball teams will be at home this weekend to take on a pair of New Mexico teams.

Colorado Mesa University scored a major coup for its fall sports program, at least on the national level. The Mavericks have debuted at No. 4 in the Division II Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings.

It’s definitely the holiday season, and a very busy one at that with all of the festive events scheduled during the Christmas holidays. To help keep track of the holiday events, here’s a list of what’s going this coming weekend:

The Colorado Mesa University’s cross-country teams competed Saturday in the NCAA Division II National Championships. The men’s team finished 18th, while the women were 22nd.

Today (December 1) marks the official start of winter sports for Colorado high schools, with the main sports being wrestling, boys and girls basketball, and girls swimming and diving.

Colorado Mesa University’s basketball teams will play their first home games of the 2014-15 season this weekend in the school’s annual Thanksgiving tournament.
