According to the USGS, a small earthquake, 3.1 magnitude, rumbled just northeast of Glenwood Springs.

The quake happened around 2 a.m. Friday (Feb. 1) morning. The USGS map shows the quake rated at a III, which would mean residents of GWS would have barely felt the ground move.

This quake happened in the same area as the two earthquakes that shook Glenwood Springs in December of 2018. Both those earthquakes were around the same magnitude.

There was no reported damage or injuries.
