Fall in Western Colorado can be a very comfortable time of year. Grand Junction started the month of September with a high of 87. By September 30th the high temperature was 76. These numbers will continue to fall into the 60s during the month of October with overnight lows slowly dipping into the upper 30s by Halloween.

It won't be long before we will be looking for a few places to stay toasty this fall. How about a restaurant or tavern with a cozy fireplace?

Overnight lows will start to trend down over the month of October, and not long after the fall colors fade, it starts to get chilly. Colorado's Largest Fireplace?

Colorado's Gaylord of the Rockies Resort boasts the largest fireplace in the state. It measures six feet wide by thirteen feet wide. It's a traditional gas fireplace supersized for the Rocky Mountains. It's found inside the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center Great Room overlooking the indoor river.
