Clifton Residents Need To Be Alert For Suspicious Activity

Clifton residents should be extra alert following a string of car break-ins this week.

Crime happens all across the Grand Valley, but police are looking for a suspect they believe is responsible for a string of break-ins this week in Clifton and they are hoping the public can identify the suspect in a surveillance photo.

Where Did Car Break-Ins Happen?

It was the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 12 when several cars were gone through in the 3200 block of Emerald Court. If you aren't familiar with the area, Emerald Court is located between D 3/4 and D 1/2 Roads, just east of 32 Road in Clifton.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, several cars were broken into, and one window was smashed causing about $1,000 in damage. A surveillance camera in the area captured at least one image of the suspect who was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, and wearing a tan backpack.
