Since I am not a skier or snowboarder, I find myself looking for other things to do in the winter, and believe it or not I found a few.

Dogsledding - Leadville

They have the dogs and the sleds, they're just waiting for snow. If you have only watched dog sledding on tv, you are losing out. The dogs live for this stuff and once you get going you wonder what took you so long to do this? They are located in Leadville, but you will find them at all of the major ski areas. Mush!

Guided snowmobile tours let you enjoy the ride without worrying about where you're going. The tours here start in the Lake Turquoise area and skirts the base of some pretty tall mountains like Mount Elbert and Mount Massive. Enjoy a fun day of snowmobiling.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides - Breckenridge

What could be more romantic and fun than this? Nice warm blanket across your lap, hot cocoa in your gloved hands and, afterward, exceptional dinner and entertainment?  Not much I can think of. Since 1983 they have been elevating folks fun to the point that many make this an annual trek. You should too.

Tubing - Dillon

Now, this is what I'm talking about. Riding tubes down snow filled hills, the view of the mountains all around. And to get back to the top, just get on the magic carpet and get up there. The magic carpet makes it easier for you to get back to the top so you can enjoy more riding time.

Just a few examples for us non-skiers to find the win in winter.
