Video of Dancing Durango Student With Down Syndrome Goes Viral

A Facebook video of a dancing Durango High School student with Down syndrome has gone viral.

The video has already viewed more than a half-million times and is still going.

At a high school talent show, sophomore Adam Kalk performed his dance moves with the girl's varsity basketball team to the song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).” As you can see from the video, Adam totally owned his dance, and the support from the other students was tremendous.

Adam has never had formal training, but watches videos online and then imitates the moves. He's non-verbal but his father says he's been very excited about the attention his recent dance has received.

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I say watching Adam's dance moves makes me feel good. He is completely uninhibited during his routine. Some of us only wish we could be that uninhibited in our everyday lives. Adam is definitely an inspiration.
