Moab is just a little over 100 miles from Grand Junction, making it perfect for a day or weekend getaway.
Moab is a short, easy drive up I-70, but save that for the way back. Add on 15 minutes to the road trip and take the Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway Route (U-128).
There are fun stops and photo opportunities in Cisco.

The beautiful scenery and picture opportunities make the extra 15 minutes worth it.
Once you are in Moab, let the exploring begin!
Corona Arch is a beautiful arch you can walk under. It's an easy and free hike. Afterwards, check out the Moab Grill where they have a picture of a small plane flying through Corona Arch.
Canyonlands National Park is another breathtaking area in Moab. I will let the pictures do the talking.
Arches National Park has adventures for all levels of hikers. It is also a beautiful drive for those who don't like hiking but want to enjoy the view. There are a couple arches visible from the road.
Delicate Arch is one of the most famous arches in the Park and is recognized around the world. It is a 3-mile round trip hike.
And you never know what you will find when at the Arches National Park. Petroglyphs are scattered everywhere, and not one looks the same.
End your day of exploring at the Moab Diner and Ice Cream Shoppe. Another fun option is the Moab Brewery; it's the largest restaurant and only microbrewery in Moab. There is also has a fun downtown area with unique art and shops that will entertain anyone.
With so many hikes and places to see, Moab is a must-go.
