It's Veteran's Day weekend in Colorado, so there are quite a few things to do whether you're a vet or not.

When I lived in Denver this was my favorite payday destination. Situated on Capitol Hill you would find politicians, news broadcasters, radio people, it was quite an eclectic place. But now it's closing, so they are inviting anyone and everyone who has ever been in the place to come celebrate the life of the place.

Veteran's Day Parade - Grand Junction

Getting underway at 2 P.M., the Grand Junction Veteran's Day parade is our way of celebrating the veterans who fought and died to keep us free. Come downtown Saturday and enjoy!

It's the 31st annual Festival with films from different types of genres. Celebrating women of film either in front of or behind the camera. The festival gets underway Friday and runs through the weekend at various locations.

Personally, I think veterans should always have free access to national parks, but nevertheless, this weekend is free for vets and their families. If there's a particular National Park you enjoy, bring your Veteran's I.D. and enjoy the day.
