There are some well-known foods grown and raised in Western Colorado. What better way to taste the most delicious favorites than a potluck.

The Community Potluck is part of the Ridgway MoonWalk Event and Ouray County Fork Fest at Hartwell Park.

It's your chance to prepare your favorite dish using locally grown ingredients to share with others and also try delicious food prepared by them.

The potluck dinner is Saturday (August 20) at 5 p.m. Dinner is $5 per person if you bring a dish for the potluck, $12 if you just want to eat.

There will also be live entertainment during dinner and at 7:30 p.m. MountainFilm on Tour.

In an effort to have a variety of foods to eat, organizers are asking people to prepare a specific type of food based on their last name.

  • Protein Dish - Last name A-G
  • Dessert - Last name H-K
  • Farm Produce Side Dish - Last name L-O
  • Salad or Pasta - Last name P-T
  • Bread - Last name U-Z

If you plan on attending, please RSVP by calling 970-626-5308 ext. 215 so they can have plenty of chairs and tables available for the dinner.
