The sounds of thousands of motorcycles will be heard this weekend in Cripple Creek for the 32nd annual POW/MIA Recognition ride as part of the 27th Annual Salute to American Veterans Rally.

The entire weekend is centered around American Veterans who have served and includes quite an impressive array of things to do and see.

The motorcycle ride will have a police escort in what is being called Colorado's largest procession of motorcycles. Registration for the ride begins at 8 A.M. at Woodland Park High School, 151 Panther Way and bikers have to be registered by 9:30 to take part in the ride that will go into Cripple Creek via U.S. 24 and Colorado Highway 67.

Also included in the weekend is an 80% replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, a veterans parade and of course live local music for all to enjoy.

Also witness the rededication of the Pikes Peak regions Memorial wall, which includes names of servicemen and women who were lost in Iraq and Afghanistan and are from the region or a graduate of the Air Force Academy.
