Fall Color Drive: Colorado’s Kebler Pass
Fall colors in Colorado are the best seen while driving around. There are tons of Colorado fall color drives, but Kebler Pass has to be the best.
Kebler Pass, between Paonia and Crested Butte, is home to one of Colorado's biggest and oldest aspen stands. This is the color drive you have to take every fall.
If you drive from Crested Butte to Paonia, you pass over Beckwith Mountain, climbing to the summit would give you the ultimate view of a massive amount of aspen trees.
The road through the Kebler Pass area is an "improved" dirt road that's open seasonal. As long as there's no snow in the area, most passenger cars can make it through.
To me, the best part of looking at all of the color changes is just how awe-inspiring they truly are.
Take the trip up to Kebler Pass and come away impressed.
