Why Write About the Grand Junction's Dump?

In the last month or so the Mesa County Landfill has become my home away from home. I've lost count, but I'm sure today will equal 15 trips for me in the last 35 days. Most have been to the landfill, with two trips being the compost facility.

I'm in the process of, shall we say, revitalizing an income property I own. In other words, somebody trashed in, and I'm stuck cleaning it up. Trips to the landfill have been abundant, with no end in sight.

People Like the Place?

They sure do. Check out Google, and you'll see the Mesa County Landfill has an average rating of 3.4 out of five. That's a higher rating than the last four Star Wars movies.

Pros and Cons

In my experience, the pros are:

  • convenient location
  • friendly staff
  • affordable
  • the compost facility is AWESOME

On the other hand, the cons include:

  • I get a flat tire every time I go out there
  • The place can get busy, and it can take a chunk of time to get out

When it's all said and done, your life's adventures will ultimately include a trip to the dump. Given that fact, why not make the most of it and look for a positive experience such as these shared by other patrons.

Glowing Reviews of the Mesa County Landfill

According to some reviewers, the people are awesome, the views are amazing, and the sights and sounds make for a fun family outing. That's the word, anyway.
