We love meteor showers, don't we? Sitting outside, blankets, coats and hot cocoa keeping us warm while we watch meteor after meteor fall to earth.

The coolest part is THIS time we should be able to SEE them, as the weather seems as though it will cooperate and allow us to watch.

According to the International Meteor Organization (IMO) the best times to watch are just after midnight until just before dawn, with the bulk of them coming from the northeast portion of the sky.

Obviously, the less light around you will allow a better view. If you're lucky enough to live in an area that is mostly or all dark you will have an excellent view. For the rest of us, finding a place that's dark enough to allow you to see could be a challenge, but there are places, of course.

All you need to do now is find your spot, get bundled up against the cold and watch 2020's very first meteor shower.
