Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Jeep on I-70B in Clifton
A motorcyclist riding on I-70 Business Loop near Clifton is dead after crashing into a Jeep on Friday, October 12.
The accident happened around noon when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveling eastbound on I-70 Business Loop near the Coronado Shopping Center, was making a left-hand turn. The motorcyclist who was traveling westbound struck the jeep as it was crossing the westbound lanes during the turn.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 19-year-old teen, died at the scene of the accident. The driver and a passenger in the Jeep were uninjured.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident and has not released any additional information as this is an open and active investigation.
