Legendary Colorado guitarist Pete 'Pedro" Wyant has passed away. Several Western Colorado musicians enjoyed the opportunity to perform with this multi-talented artist.

Pete 'Pedro' Wyant's adventures into the world of music began in Colorado when he worked his way through high school as the guitarist for "The Titians." When that project disolved, Wyant spent a couple of years playing clubs and concerts in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Montana, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Texas.

Western Colorado's own Hugh Plumleigh from the band "Huey, Dewey, and Louie" had the opportunity to play for Wyant in Denver in 1967. According to Plumleigh, several music students from what was then Mesa College had the chance to perform with Wyant.

One of my musical heroes and friends has passed away. I was lucky to have played with him in 1967 in Denver. The Earth has lost a wonderful person." - Hugh Plumleigh
