One of Colorado's favorite vacation spots, Utah's Lake Powell, is suffering from extreme drought conditions. The second-largest reservoir in the United States is at its lowest level ever recorded.

The low levels of the manmade lake is not only affecting water users below the lake, it's also affecting water levels in reservoirs above the lake. Blue Mesa Reservoir in Colorado is mandated to send water downriver to help alleviate Powell's need for water.
