Although the mornings are still cool here in Western Colorado, the longer, warmer days of spring are here. That means new hours  and a new season for the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.The Gardens is now open to visitors  from 10am -5pm Tuesday through Sunday from now until the end of the year. The WCBG is home to an Herb Garden, Cactus Garden, Rose Garden and Orchid Display that are maintained by local gardening organizations. Plus, the WCBG maintains several other gardens including the Childrens Secret Garden, Shozan-en, Celebration Plaza, Community Garden and the  public gardens that surround their buildings.Visitors always enjoy the tropical greenhouse and butterfly house as well.

The FREE day has been discontinued, but the first Friday of every month is Botanical Bucks day and admission is just $1.

The WCBG will host an early Earth Day/Arbor Day open house celebration on Sunday, April 14th that will be open to the public.

The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens is located at 7th Street and Riverside Parkway.
