The date was April 6, 1975, and Denise was seen on her bike riding away from her home and no one ever saw her again.

It was 1989 before anyone learned any news about the case. Ted Bundy was set to be executed for the crimes he committed and the case investigators were hoping Bundy would open up about whether or not he had anything to do with Olverson's disappearance.

As it turned out, he did.

Bundy told investigators he had killed Olverson and threw her bike into the Colorado River.

As a result of this news investigators finally changed her case from a missing person to homicide and then closed the case in May.

The lead suspect and the man who admitted to the murder has been dead now for 30 years.

Case Closed.
