The Grand Junction Candy Cane Hunt is a great holiday event you don't want your kids to miss!

This Saturday, (Dec.5) the Lincoln Park Barn is the place to be for some great holiday fun put on by Grand Junction Parks and Recreation.

The activities begin at 10AM. The kids will have a chance to do a snowman craft, snack on cookies, and listen to holiday music. The Mesa County library will also be there to put on a puppet show.

The hunt for candy canes starts promptly at 11AM in the stadium field area. Local mascots will be racing Frosty in a dash around the track and MJ Thomas Photography will be there to take family holiday photos with Frosty the Snowman, with packages available for purchase.

The best part is the event is free, so it's a great way to enjoy the holiday and spend a couple of hours as a family without breaking the bank.
