A fantastic Mesa County event, Coffee With a Cop, is back. There's a new Sheriff in town, and here's a chance to meet him.

This event is an excellent opportunity to speak with law enforcement, ask questions, and discuss matters important to you. I have five reasons why you should attend.

Always To Your Benefit to Attend

Coffee With a Cop is an excellent opportunity to speak with law enforcement about matters which don't necessarily warrant an emergency call to the Sheriff's Office. Back before COVID, these events were held four times a year. It's been a while since I last heard of one.

Meet With the Mesa County Sheriff's Office to Ask Questions

This is a chance to "...join the Mesa County Sheriff's Office for coffee and a casual conversation about issues that matter to you!"  It's also your chance to meet the new Sheriff and learn more about how to partner with deputies to prevent crime.

When and Where and Other Details

The next Coffee With a Cop is coming up Thursday, October 7, 2021. You can meet with deputies at the Clifton Starbucks at 570 32 Road from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Deputies will be at the Clifton Starbucks (570 32 Rd, Clifton, CO 81520) from 8-10 am, Thursday, Oct. 7! Hope to see you there.

Personally, I make a point to attend all of these meetings. Here are five reasons why you should set aside an hour or two and participate:

  • No speeches or agendas, just questions and your chance to express concerns
  • The coffee really is good
  • Chance to ask questions in an informal setting
  • It’s an opportunity to discuss matters that don’t necessitate a call or visit to the Sheriff’s Office
  • It’s a great opportunity to connect with local law enforcement

Here's your chance to ask authorities the questions which have been on your mind and get to know your local officers better. "Coffee With a Cop" is the perfect opportunity to keep your neighborhoods safe, be proactive, and work in cooperation with your law enforcement officers.

Strangest Laws in Colorado You're Probably Breaking Right Now

We all try our hardest to follow the law, even when we don't agree with them. We took a look at some of Colorado's laws and discovered a few that make no sense at all.

We know drinking and driving is illegal, but did you know riding a horse while intoxicated is illegal. Or take a mule or donkey into a building could get you in trouble.

And whoever threw a missile at a car is someone we'd like to meet.

Take a look at Colorado's most outrageous laws on the books.
