What It’s Like to Live in a Mountain Ghost Town for a Year
I think I may have been born late. The reason I think this is the case is due to the fact that I really think living in a ghost town would be a good idea. There's one man that knows what that's like because he's been doing it for more than a year and has shared his story.
If you don't already, I would highly recommend following Ghost Town Living on YouTube. The man's name is Brent and he bought a ghost town 16 months ago. Here's how Brent describes himself:
This is MONTH 16 living at the abandoned mining town of Cerro Gordo. I don't think I'd ever be saying those words, but here we are! This month was a lot of fun. There was a lot of renovation to the 1800s miner's cabin, mine explorations, kittens being born, and a bit of rock climbing.
This is how Brent's ghost town experience started 16 months ago.
There are a lot of in-between updates, but this is Brent's most recent update to what his life has been like living alone in a mountain ghost town.
The ghost town he owns now used to be a major silver mine area. Now, he spends his time restoring buildings and also exploring the abandoned mines under his feet. It appears the ghost town life is great when you like to breed cats also. Who knew?
What Brent has discovered is his passion for the ghost town where he lived alone for the first year has now attracted many volunteers which has made his lonely ghost town almost a community. What an adventure.
Seriously follow Brent on YouTube to keep up with the latest on his ghost town adventures.
