We Didn’t Get a Good Photo of the 2020 Christmas Star, But These Coloradans Did
Whether you call it the Christmas Star, Star of Bethlehem, astral union or Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter — it was a once-in-a-lifetime sight that we got to experience from Colorado, coincidentally on the Winter Solstice.
As such a strange, chaotic year comes to an end, it was definitely a treat to get to witness something so rare. While we hunkered down in our homes for the last nine months and then literally watched the world burn for about three of those, it was an opportune event for many Coloradans to venture out to line roadsides and look up at the stars. And while no pics will really do the phenomenon justice, these photographers had better luck than I did on my iPhone 8.
