Utah Fugitive Arrested in Grand Junction
A man from Utah suspected of several crimes including homicide, was captured in Grand Junction this afternoon (October 30).
The suspect, 34-year-old James Main Jr. was arrested near 28 1/2 Road and Gunnison Avenue around 1:30 p.m. after eluding police and recklessly driving through various parts of town at one point crashing a vehicle near 1st Street and Patterson Road.
Main was taken to the hospital following his arrest, but police report he was not seriously injured. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash or from the chase while Main was trying to escape capture.
Main is wanted for double kidnapping and homicide as a result of events on Friday (October 28) in Roosevelt, Utah. Main also stole a vehicle which Utah authorities found, but Main fled the scene and has been at-large until his capture in Grand Junction Sunday afternoon.
