Things Are Greening Up All Over Grand Junction, But in the Wrong Places

It's still February and we're seeing signs of spring with things starting to green up. Unfortunately, around my house and other parts of Grand Junction they're greening in the wrong places.

The yard, flower beds and garden are still brown, but the driveway - the one place I don't want green - is beginning to grow a nice carpet of annual grass.

When it first started appearing, I pulled up several clumps thinking that would take care of it. However, the more I pulled the more places it started to grow.

The next step is the annual tradition of mixing up some weed killer and spraying. But, since everything else is still brown, I decided, at least for a little while, to enjoy what green there is, even if it's in the wrong place.
