I enjoy heading over to Starbucks occasionally for coffee. My favorite is a grande latte with an extra shot of espresso. Normally though, I just buy a bag of Sumatra and brew it at home because I'm usually either too broke or too cheap to pay three or four dollars for a cup of coffee. Then, I heard about this guy who managed to spend close to $50 on a single drink. I had two thoughts, How? Why?Until recently, the record for the most expensive Starbucks drink was a Java Chip Frappucinno with 16 espresso shots and a bunch of extras that added up to $23.60.

That record was shattered when Beau Chevassus found a way to order a drink at Starbucks that totaled $47.30. He started with a venti Mocha Frappucinno that costs $4.75, added 48 espresso shots and other extras to drive the cost to almost ten times the original price.

The video doesn't show what happened after he drank the concoction, but I suspect the caffeine and sugar buzz prevented him from sleeping for a couple of days or perhaps he ended up in the emergency room.
