Palisade and Fruita are now closing certain businesses and buildings to slow the spread of the virus.

According to a study done by the National Council for Home Safety and Security, Grand Junction is the least safe city among those cities with at least 10,000 people.

At a time when more and more cities are becoming less and less safe, one city in Colorado seems to be bucking that trend.

A recent report shows Fruita at #9 on the "Safest Cities In Colorado" list.
