A wanted suspect was taken into custody on August 18, following an incident in which he barricaded himself inside of a Wellington home.

Just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the Larimer County Communications Center received a report that a male was asked to leave a residence in the 6800 block of Langland Drive, but refused to comply.

The man was identified as 23-year-old Adrian Felix Moreno, and law enforcement also determined that he had several active felony warrants for his arrest.

When deputies arrived on scene at the Wellington residence, they attempted to contact Moreno, at which point he retreated inside of the home and locked himself inside, along with three other individuals.

At this time, deputies set up a perimeter around the home, and were safely able to lead the three additional people out. They confirmed that Moreno was still inside.

At 7:49 p.m., the Larimer County Regional SWAT Team was called to assist on scene, and attempted to contact Moreno. According to a press release from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, SWAT negotiators were able to get Moreno to peacefully surrender and he was taken into custody at 9:21 p.m. without further incident.

In addition to the felony warrants, Adrian Moreno was booked into the Larimer County Jail on additional allegations of 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Felony Criminal Mischief, and Domestic Violence.
