We are hearing from KREX news that both the Grand Junction Police Department as well as Mesa County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the location to assist in the apprehension of the suspect.

The area of North Avenue and 29 Road were closed during this time in an attempt to minimize any chance of a civilian being hurt while the standoff was taking place. The area was reopened shortly after the suspect was arrested.
