Summertime Brings Free Admission to Grand Junction’s Museum of the West
Summer is here and that means free days at Grand Junction's Museum of the West.
It's called Cool Summer Nights and it happens Thursday evenings at Museum of the West during July and August in conjunction with the downtown Grand Junction farmers market beginning on July 12.
While the downtown farmers market is a highly popular Thursday night attraction in spite of the western Colorado heat, everybody still longs for a good opportunity to cool down - and this is it.
Every Thursday from 5pm-8pm the Museum of the West at 5th and Ute will offer free admission - and air conditioning. Plus, they will be serving refreshments and offering a different feature each week.
It's a fun way to discover a thousand years of western Colorado history, and I'm planning to be there. If you're going to be downtown anyway for the farmers market, plan for some extra time and take advantage of one of the free days at Museum of the West.
