    Free seminar on dangers of concussions

    Mesa County Valley School District 51 and Community Hospital will present a free seminar on the dangers of concussions from sports injuries. Medical professionals and individuals who work closely with sports injuries will provide information during this seminar, which is designed for parents, coaches, athletes and anyone who wants to learn more about the risks of multiple untreated concussions. Light refreshments will be served. Information will include the following topics: (a) What happens to the brain when a concussion occurs? (b) Identify concussion signs and symptoms; (c) know when additional medical attention is needed; (d) Understand what your responsibilities are in concussion management; (e) REAP Concussion Management Program; (f) a parent’s role in management; and (g) legislative regulations on concussion.     Rockestra

    Colorado Mesa University’s Robinson Theatre, 1100 North Avenue in Grand Junction

    Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will present Rockestra, which is the only professional rock and roll orchestra west of the Missouri River.
