Monster Mash at Dinosaur Journey in Fruita is a Halloween tradition for KOOL 107.9 and for many people who make it a trick or treat stop on Halloween night. Not only is it fun, it's safe, and it can be educational.

During the event, from 4 pm - 7 pm, admission to the dinosaur museum is free. This allows kids and their families to come check out all of the interesting dinosaur exhibits, be amazed, and maybe even learn something out. On the way out, the kids pick up some treats, and even mom and dad will enjoy a cup of hot apple cider from Talbott Farms.

Ed and I enjoy doing this event for a lot of reasons. For one, it's fun seeing all of the different costumes that kids come up with. Some are store bought, while others are creatively homemade. It's also great watching families having fun spending time together, engaging in an annual tradition.

Downtown Fruita's Trick or Treat Street happens from 3pm-5pm, so it is very convenient to take the kids to downtown Fruita and then head over to Monster Mash at Dinosaur Journey.

KOOL 107.9 will be doing a live broadcast during the event, and we'll even be playing a few Halloween favorites on the radio. We hope to see  you there.
