There is no doubt that 2020 has been challenging, for some more than others. There have been lots of people that lost their jobs beginning in March when the COVID-19 pandemic really started sweeping the country. It seems like we all know someone who lost their job and it's been difficult finding new employment but the Mesa County Workforce Center currently has multiple job openings.

The information was first posted by the Mesa County Workforce Center on their Facebook page so I had to check out their website. That is when I found out that even though COVID-19 is making things difficult there are still 37,104 jobs available in Colorado and 18,275 of those are new job postings since June 7th, 2020. While many of them are all over the state that means there are some right here on the Western Slope.

The first thing you will want to do is find the workforce center that is closest to your house. There are locations in Grand Junction, Delta, Montrose, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Gunnison, and so many others. Once you get that figured out you can reach out to that office or search their job listings online.

There are part-time and full-time positions available here in Grand Junction with a wide range of salaries to apply for including the following:

  • Seasonal Maintenance Custodian
  • Landscaper
  • COVID-19 Sampling Site Staff
  • COVID-19 Community Outreach
  • COVID-19 Sampling Site Supervisor
  • Parts Puller
  • Upholsterer
  • Case Manager - Foster Care
  • Retail Center Assistant
  • Kennel Technician
  • Wearhouse Person (Loader)
  • Patient Access Registration Specialist
  • ER Tech
  • Food Service Worker

If you're feeling down after looking for employment I hope this information helps.
