The annual Men in Heels race highlighted the final downtown Grand Junction farmers market of the season and raised funds for Hilltop's Latimer House.

For those that don't know what Hilltop's Latimer House is, it's a facility that provides "counseling, advocacy, and shelter for adults and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault."

At least 23 teams of men - all wearing high heels - participated in this year's relay style event. Hundreds of spectators gathered on Colorado Avenue to cheer on the guys as they raised over $29,000 for Latimer House.

The teams raising the most money were BNI Freedom Builders and WPX Energy.

As far as the racing is concerned, the first place team was WPX Energy. Second place went to KREX News Channel 5, and in third place was Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic.

Here's a sample of the exciting high-heels racing.
