Man Arrested in Atlanta Grocery Store With 5 Guns and Body Armor
As we are just trying to wrap our head around the deadly Boulder grocery store shooting that took the lives of 10 innocent people we are waking up this morning to hear about another possible grocery store shooting that luckily didn't happen. As multiple news outlets including KVUE is reporting that a man with 5 firearms and wearing body armor was arrested inside an Atlanta grocery store called Publix.
The police were called to the grocery store at about 1:35 p.m. yesterday afternoon where they met with management and identified where the man was within the store. Other officers found the person of interest and he was immediately detained.
It was at that point that officers discovered the five guns and body armor that were all on the person including two long guns and three pistols. EMS was dispatched to conduct a mental health evaluation. The 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody and now faces charges of reckless conduct. The guns, body armor, and other personal property were all taken into evidence.
What We All Need to Learn From This 2nd Grocery Store Incident
It's an alarming time right now and we need to look out for each other. Pay closer attention to your surroundings and if something doesn't look right or seem right take action. You never know when you could be stopping another horrible tragedy from taking place.
Similiar Aged Suspects In Both Grocery Store Incidents This Week
I found it very interesting that both the suspects arrested in Atlanta and the Boulder grocery store shooter were both young, 22-years-old and 21-years-old. But it really doesn't matter the age we need to be aware of our surroundings. This type of thing could happen with someone of any age and in any location, but the nerve-wrecking thing is that these tragic events seem to happen more in Colorado.
