Check Out John Denver’s Former Aspen, Colorado Home
The late singer-songwriter behind the hits 'Sunshine on My Shoulders,' 'Rocky Mountain High' and 'Annie's Song,' John Denver once called Aspen, Colorado home.
Unfortunately, Denver passed away in 1997 while flying a small airplane that he owned, but his legacy still lives on.
While growing up in Colorado, I've actually encountered a few people that came in contact with Denver while he lived in Colorado. For example, one man that I met claimed that John Denver used to pick him up in his Porsche while hitchhiking in the Aspen area.
I also had a girlfriend at one point whose mom spent time with John Denver while he was still alive and living in the area.
In addition, a former coworker of mine has a story in which he was camping with his wife and John Denver showed up with his then-wife, Annie, who has been immortalized in Denver's 'Annie's Song,' and allegedly tried to take the campsite for himself.
Although his real last name isn't Denver, the late singer-songwriter certainly loved Colorado which has been made apparent in numerous ways.
