Grand Junction’s Market on Main Won’t Start Until July
One thing in life never changes and that is the fact that there will be change.
Downtown Grand Junction has announced some changes in their event schedule that will turn some people's world upside down - while others of us will just take things in stride and realize it will be just fine.
One of the most notable changes is the downtown car show which traditionally has been held near the end of September. However, the car show is moving to June 27 because of so many Grand Valley events that happen in September- like Fruita Fall Festival and Colorado Mountain Winefest.
Another big change is the downtown farmers market. The Market on Main will not start until July 9 rather than the middle of June as it has in the past. The market will still run for 12 weeks, wrapping up on September 24. This will add some time at the end of the season when produce availability is at its peak.
Those who are really struggling with change will be happy to know the annual Independence Day Parade will still be held on the Fourth of July.
Here's a look at this year's schedule for downtown Grand Junction so you can get these great events on your calendar.
