Two People Injured In Grand Junction Main Street Shooting
Grand Junction police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured Tuesday (Feb. 24) night.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, officers were called out to the scene of a possible shooting just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Main Street. This is on the east end of Main near Freeway Bowl and the I-70 Busines Loop. When officers arrived they found a number of shell casings in the parking lot of an apartment complex as well as bullet holes.
Although no victims were located at the scene, police were notified that two people with gunshot wounds had been transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. The injuries to the victims were described as serious but not life-threatening.
At this point, no suspects in the shooting have been identified and police have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the shootings. Detectives have processed the scene for evidence as they continue their investigation and interviewing eye-witnesses.

Anytime we hear of shootings in the Grand Valley it is a little unnerving, especially when we don't know the circumstances that are involved. The Grand Junction Police Department is continuing its investigation into this incident and hopefully will soon be able to identify suspects in the case.
