As baseball fans, sports fans, and residents that just want to cheer on our home team, we cannot wait to hear "Play Ball" this year. Last year the season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic and strict guidelines in place that wouldn't allow for fans or players to be that close together.

But this year, fingers crossed we will be back in the stands to cheer on our Grand Junction Rockies. Now, we don't know for sure we will be back yet, as the PBL 2021 baseball schedule is subject due to change due to any federal or state restrictions as the PBL is committed to protecting the health and safety of players, clubs, employees, and fans.

One thing that I noticed immediately upon looking over the new 2021 schedule is that there are no games scheduled on a Tuesday until we hit the final Tuesday of the regular season as we will welcome the Rocky Mountain Vibes to Grand Junction. Other games that you need to know about include the games with Fireworks after the games which includes:

  • Friday, June 11th against the Idaho Falls Chuckars
  • Friday, June 25th against the Great Falls Voyagers
  • Sunday, July 4th against the Rocky Mountain Vibes
  • Friday, July 9th against the Boise Hawks
  • Friday, July 15th against the Great Falls Voyagers
  • Friday, August 6th against the Boise Hawks
  • Friday, August 20th against the Ogden Raptors

We are so excited to bust out the peanuts and cracker jacks, let's just hope that we can do that at the ballpark and not at home while cheering on our Grand Junction Rockies.
