Applications Now Being Taken For Grand Junction’s Market On Main
Summer is just one month away and so is Grand Junction's Market on Main.
Here is another sign that things are going to be a lot closer to normal this summer. Grand Junction's Downtown Market on Main is returning to Main Street on June 24 and will be in full bloom between 3rd and 7th streets. Last year, the market didn't get started until July and a scaled-down version was held in a downtown parking lot.
Everybody Is Ready For the Market
The Market on Main is a popular summertime event in Grand Junction and is likely going to be even more popular this year. It seems like people are generally excited about the prospect of getting out and going to local events and experiencing some social interaction.
A Variety of Vendors
Of course, the Market on Main is first and foremost a farmers market, thus, fresh produce will be the highlight of each week's vendor lineup. But, the downtown market has grown into something much more than just fruits and vegetables. Vendor types include farmers, home & garden, packaged food, arts & crafts, body & health products, and the ever-popular food trucks. Aside from the vendors, it's a great opportunity to experience some live musical entertainment.
Applications and Information
With just a month to go before the first market of the season, Downtown Grand Junction is now taking vendor applications. Many vendors have already been submitted applications and approval notifications should be sent out by this Friday.
For vendors who want to apply for the market, there is a ton of information on the Downtown Grand Junction website regarding booth prices, rules, regulations, and tax information. Vendors who decide they would like to participate in this year's Market on Main can apply and register online.
It's exciting to think about the return of Grand Junction's Market on Main and it will be here before you know it. The market will be held every Thursday, June 24 - September 9 beginning at 5:30pm. I'll plan to see you there!
