Grand Junction Area ‘Big’ Stores Closed This Easter Sunday
A handful of major retailers and home improvement stores in Grand Junction have announced they will close for the day this Easter. Here's a quick rundown.
Plan ahead when it comes to your shopping plans for the coming weekend. This Easter, April 12, 2020, several stores which you would normally expect to be open will take the opportunity to provide employees with an opportunity to recharge.
According to 9News.com, Lowe's will be one such store. Marvin Ellison, Lowe's president, and CEO said, “Our ability to support communities with essential goods and services during this pandemic is thanks to our outstanding, dedicated associates."
We want to provide our teams with a much-deserved day off to spend Easter Sunday with their families and loved ones and recharge. We will take steps to ensure that no hourly associate loses scheduled hours or has a reduction in pay as a result of closing on Sunday. I want to personally thank our 300,000 associates who have helped families stay safely at home. Their actions are nothing short of heroic.” - Marvin Ellison, Lowe’s president and CEO
