Monster Day 2023 took place in downtown Greeley, Colorado this past Saturday, August 12th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Monsters began taking over the picturesque downtown area of the city back in 2017 and it has been a fun, family-friendly, freaky event ever since.

Aside from all of the awesome, crazy, creepy costumes seen throughout the event, this year's Monster Day featured a costume contest, a Wednesday Addams dance contest, and a screaming contest.

In addition, attendees enjoyed live music, vendor booths, makeup demonstrations, face painting, and other monstrous activities.

What Kind of Costumes Were at Greeley Colorado's Monster Day?

As you'll see below, the block party that was Monster Day 2023 was filled with impressive costumes.

One theme throughout Monster Day didn't involve your typical monsters, but rather characters from Star Wars. Some of the characters that made appearances include Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Chewbacca, a Sand Person, and multiple Stormtroopers, to name a few.

There were also more traditional scary costumes like creepy scarecrows, the Grim Reaper, a werewolf, creepy clowns, a vulture-man, a lizard-man, and plenty of other impressive getups.

In addition, attendees were greeted by a row of hearses parked at the entrance of the event, starting things off with creepiness right away.

The event was free, and although it doesn't appear that a date has been set for next year's Monster Day, it will also most likely be free of charge and take place sometime next summer.

In the meantime, check out some of the awesome costumes at this year's Monster Day:
