Most of us have only HEARD of the dust bowl of the 1930s. Millions of acres of farmland were destroyed, and hundred of thousands of families were forced to leave their homes.  There is a reason it's called "The Great Depression". Last week, some residents in eastern Colorado got a little taste of the 1930s, when high winds caused sand- six to eight inches deep - to congregate on open fields.
