Every year since 2011, the Colorado Aviation Business Association has partnered with the Colorado VFW and others to bring Christmas cheer to Veterans and their families across Colorado.

This year, like so many other attempts to collect toys and food, it's a little leaner than other years.

Each year the members of CABA donate their time and their planes to help spread the Christmas spirit to Veterans and their families across Colorado that have fallen on hard times and need just a little boost to get them through.

But as you can see there was a lot less than they had hoped for but undeterred these heroes will still make many families Christmas this year with some food and gifts to make the season a bit brighter for those in need.

Since 2011, they have distributed 41,900 pounds of food and toys throughout rural Colorado and helped 3,614 veterans and their families.

It just goes to show heroes come in all forms.
