Why You Should Subscribe to the Zane Mathews App Alert Channel
We need to be connected.
I want to connect with my listeners, but I don't want to be like the overbearing relatives who overstay their welcome - like Cousin Eddie and Catherine in Christmas Vacation.
The KOOL 107.9 app is a great way for you to connect with the radio station because you can listen any time and any place. It also gives you access to all of the great local content and features we share on a daily basis, along with various contests. From the app, you can even email me a private message or send an interesting photo.
Something new we just rolled out on the KOOL app is our DJ alert channels. This is a way for us to connect to listeners on a little deeper and more personal level.
If I have written something I think might be of particular interest to you, I'll send you a notification via the app. That way you won't miss anything important even if you aren't listening at that moment. There will be times when I will be talking about a particular concert coming to the Grand Valley, doing a ticket giveaway or some other contest, breaking news, or maybe just conversation starters. Through my app channel, I can let you know via push notification when that is happening.
As I said, I don't want to be intrusive so I assure you I won't SPAM you, and I'm not going to flood your phone with alerts. Most generally, it will just be once each day. If you don't appreciate the alerts you always have the option to unsubscribe to any alerts you don't want to receive.
It's easy to subscribe and here's how to do it.
First of all, if you don't have the free KOOL App on your phone, get it downloaded. Open the app on your phone and go to the app menu - the three straight lines in the upper left-hand corner. You'll see a complete listing of all the app features.
Scroll all the way down and click on "Settings". You'll see a list of alert options you can choose to receive as well as preferences. Activate "Mornings With Zane" and any other alerts you want to receive. I can assure you, I won't be sending any alerts after 10:00 pm - unless I'm sleepwalking. That's all there is to it.
