The football season is here, though it's not the regular season. First things first, and that means paring down the roster to 53 players. That's why we have what we call pre-season games, and it begins tonight for the Denver Broncos as they take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Yes, it's only pre-season.Yes, the outcome of the game means nothing. Yes, Peyton Manning and the starters will see very little action, if any. But, still, this is the beginning of the trek to the Super Bowl for two lucky teams. This is the day that Broncos' fans hav been waiting for since that stinging loss to the Baltimore Ravens in January that dashed the Broncos dreams of an Orange Crush Super Bowl.

So, having said all of that does give significance to tonight's game, and I will definitely be watching the "action".  The outcome of the game may not have meaning, but the game itself does. Thankfully, NBC affiliate KKCO will provide the television coverage locally, and broadcast time is scheduled for 7:00 in San Francisco. So whether you are on cable, satellite, or antenna just look for KKCO and enjoy the game.
