If you're a landowner it's an opportunity for you to help protect wildlife and maybe even make a few bucks in the process.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is taking requests for proposals for 2019 for those landowners who have land that, among other things, allows for public access for hunting and fishing, affords protection for one or more "species of concern", have land that provides connectivity to conservation areas and more.

There is $11 million budgeted for the project and in order to be considered, the first step is to complete a proposal that helps address those and other areas that will help CPW  manage wildlife in a way that will be the least intrusive.

Proposals are being taken through May but must be completed and turned in by May 31 to be considered.

The final determination will come in November once all applications have been considered. In order to apply, click here.

If you've been looking for a way to help wildlife in Colorado, here's your chance.
