The snow may be ending in Western Colorado, but winter driving conditions will persist through the day and overnight. In Grand Junction, many side streets have turned to ice, as many drivers are experiencing first hand.
Meanwhile, highways in Colorado will remain icy and snow covered as temperatures tonight drop into the single digits in the Grand Valley. If you need to travel, go prepared.
Don't be fooled by patches of road that appear to be free of ice. Looks can be deceiving. Continue to use caution and allow plenty of time to get where you are going. In other words, slow down.  Highway 50 from Grand Junction to Montrose, and I-70 from Grand Junction to Denver both remain icy and snow covered.
