Time Running Out to Apply For Christmas Assistance in Grand Junction
Time is running out for Grand Valley residents to sign up for Christmas assistance from the Salvation Army.
Every year the Salvation Army helps make Christmas a brighter and happier time for hundreds of families in the Grand Valley by providing much-needed food and toys. However, these people need to ask for help.
The holidays can be a difficult time for struggling families and for single parents who are trying to make ends meet. It's not that they necessarily need to provide their kids with hundreds of dollars worth of gifts, but, understandably, they want their kids to have toys and presents to open on Christmas Day. It should be a happy time, not a stressful time.
The Salvation Army has a process which ensures that people who are truly in need get help to make it through the holidays. This process includes applying for assistance at the Salvation Army office, but the deadline to apply for assistance is Monday, November 6.
