Grand Junction Thrift Store is Closing
Grand Junction's Salvation Army Thrift Store Will close November 10.
After moving into the larger space on North Avenue just a couple years ago the Salvation Army Thrift Store is closing. I was just in there last week picking up a pair of pants and a sports jacket for my Halloween get up. It's too bad the location shutting down. The store is nice and much larger than their former location around the corner on 4th.
It's the second setback the Salvation Army has experienced this year. On March 10th their rehab program facility at 9th and Grand was destroyed by a fire. Now the owners of the store property have decided to sell and the Salvation Army can't afford to buy it.
If you've got some things to donate you're being asked to take them to the Clifton location as the Grand Junction store will no longer take donations. The Salvation Army Family Store in Clifton is located at 3227 I-70 Business Loop.
